From Bruny Islands it was back to Hobart to visit the Cadbury Chocolate factory!!
It was fun to see how they made the chocolate and of course there was a great shop to buy and taste all the treats!!
We were back in Hobart to have a look at the Salamana Markets that are on every Saturday morning. There are hundreds of stall holders and lots of fun stuff to look at and buy.
Robots made from recycled everything!!
Buildings and steps in the old part of Hobart around Battery Point.
From Hobart we headed south to Cockle Creek for some more camping. Cockle Creek leads into a large sheltered bay and was used in the old days to anchor the big whaling and exploration ships that had come over from England and France. The area in the day was an important whaling location but sadly was over hunted and it is now rare to see a whale in the bay.
There were beautiful beaches and some great walks to go on.
Cockle Creek itself was lots of fun (and warm!!) for swimming and kayaking in.
There were 1000s of tiny mud crabs.
